Upload Labs is a free, node-based sci-fi management game, and on paper it sounds dry: you build and optimise a computer system by wiring together little window-like nodes that download, process and upload files. In practice it is pure brain candy.
You start out thrilled that you managed to download a single text file. A few dozen hours later you are knee-deep in the research tree, balancing money against processing power and engineering sprawling pipelines to fight off the heat death of the universe. The fact that everything keeps ticking over in the background is exactly as dangerous as it sounds, there is always one more upgrade queued.
If you like optimisation, tidy little systems and watching numbers go up for reasons that feel earned, give it a go. Just maybe set an alarm.
